i have a record player hook up in aux my question is can I also hook a tape deck to my home theater?
i will like to buy a tape deck for my home theater but i don’t whant to unhook my record player. can i plug it in a different jack.

It depends on how many & what kind of inputs your AV receiver has. Most of these have multiple audio (like your tape deck) and multiple video (VCR, DVD Player, etc) inputs. If your reciever has multiple audio inputs, then Yes you can. If not, no you can’t.
